We would like to announce that MLB has bought our facility and changed the name from Historic Dodgertown to the Jackie Robinson Training Complex! We are very excited about the new ownership and the changes they have already brought with them and future plans that they have for our facility!
Even with the changes, we still are going to be hosting our most popular tournament of the year! Are you in the cold and snow and wondering when and where you can get away from it all? Look no further than our Presidents' Day Challenge Tournament in February! It is a prime escape place for anyone looking to get away from the cold and snow and enjoy the nice, warm, sunny weather that we have to offer here in Vero Beach, Florida. Now is a great time to book your travel ball team and get them out of the cold to warm up for the Spring season that is quickly approaching.
60+ teams from all across the country and Canada joined us for this great event last year! Escape the cold and come join us for nice, warm weather! Average temps in Vero Beach during February are the mid-70's with clear blue skies. That means, t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops for teams that travel from the northern states for this tournament. If you don't really care for the great weather we offer, just think about the nostalgia of being able to play on the same fields as Dodger Legends themselves. There have been six World Championship teams that trained and started their seasons and even their Legendary careers here (1988, 1981, 1965, 1963, 1959, 1955). Players from Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, Roy Campanella, and the latest Dodger great that is still playing today Clayton Kershaw, have all played here on these fields.
Hotel options are available and can be booked through our event planners. Our staff is ready to help you book accommodations suitable to your needs, both on- and off-property. Call to book with us or get help with booking your stay when you come down 772-569-4900. Teams are encouraged to book early so families can reserve rooms in the Historic Dodgertown hotel villas and other partner hotels that we have to offer. On-site reservations mean teams and families are within walking distance of rooms and fields. Left an item in the room? No problem, and no more driving back to the hotel. You won’t miss any of the game action because you’ll be steps away from your room. Also exclusive to on-site guests are Historic the Jackie Robinson Training Complex’s recreational amenities. You’ll be the envy of your friends in the cold and snow when you post photos of your team enjoying our outdoor, competition-size swimming pool, basketball, tennis, sand volleyball, and fields for tossing a football or Frisbee. Also, the beach is a mere five miles away!
Full-service packages are also available for meals in our on-site dining room. Please inquire within about these if interested.
